- Why should not Adam take the blame for the Fall for human beings?
Adam is the creation of a strong, intelligent male. Adam should not take the blame because he first suppressed the urge to eat the fruit. He did remain rational and obey God's instruction at the beginning not until Eve had eaten the fruit, which comes to the second reason. Adam's love for Eve is more than anything, which stems not only from his own feelings but also from what God and angels told him to. Adam let Eve work alone because of love. Moreover, Adam knows that Eve is created to be his partner and mate. That is why Adam also ate the fruit. Firstly, because he loved Eve so much that he couldn't bear leaving Eve Fall, and secondly, he could not stand being left in paradise alone. In my opinion, Adam should not be blamed for sacrificing himself for his only companion. Last but not least, if Adam only knew Eve was too naive and might make a poor judgment, he would not let her go work alone. However, Adam was not aware of the crisis which might lead to, when he accepted to let Eve separate from himself.
- Why should not Eve take the blame for the Fall for human beings?
Eve is God's creation of a beautiful and smart female. However, she should not take the blame because the reason she is tempted by the serpent is because of the urge for independence and knowledge. The creator of Eve gave her the ability to think and to make choices, that's why I don't think the blame is on Eve. Plus, Eve was always following Adam, so it is reasonable that she wanted to become stronger. In this way, she could work on her own. Furthermore, while Eve is really intelligent as a human, she is also naive. God indeed created Eve to be smart and eager for knowledge, but she is too naive in the world she lives in. That is why she chose to believe what the serpent said, she does not know words can be lies. At last, Eve was lacking experience in this situation. We all made mistakes when we were young, and those mistakes became the nutrition to build a better us. In other words, we all learn from mistakes. Eve was inexperienced, which means she did not have the chance to learn that a talking serpent may not be trustworthy.
- Why should not Satan take the blame for the Fall for human beings?
Satan, the fallen angel, is sly and devoted to destroying God's favorite creation, humankind. But Satan should not be blamed, because the idea of destroying human beings did not first come from Satan. It was the second-in-command, Beelzebub, who suggested destroying God's favorite creation. Thus, we know that the whole idea does not originate from Satan. Secondly, Satan is also God's creation, which means the slyness and evilness of Satan do not stem from Satan's personal choice of character. Satan's character is meant to be created by God in the way it is. Lastly, although Satan did trick Eve into eating the forbidden fruit, Satan did not forcefully make Eve swallow the fruit. In other words, ultimately, it was Eve who made the choice to believe in Satan's word and taste the fruit.
- Why should not God take the blame for the Fall for human beings?
God created the world and human beings. God built the garden of Eden and made Adam and Eve live inside this beautiful paradise. Although the forbidden fruit was also an invention of God. However, God had already told the rules to Adam and Eve beforehand. That makes the first reason why God should not take the blame. Secondly, before Satan and other angels fell, they were living in God's creation, which means God did give the reason for Satan not to rebel. Unfortunately, Satan chose to listen to Beelzebub and was triggered by envying human beings. Furthermore, God is omniscient. God created everything by hand; thus, every creation exists because of God. That is the third reason why God should not take the blame. Because if God is omniscient, then God is supposedly capable of stopping Adam and Eve from the Fall and ending Satan's evilness. However, God did nothing. In my opinion, this is also just a part of God's plan. God created humans; God also made human beings suffer after rules were broken. Since everything was a part of God's plan/creation, then there is no reason for God to take the blame. Because without God, then none of this will exist.
